| CONCLUSION |
The
color management on a graphic chain requires the theoretical
and practical colorimetric concepts. The parameters which
intervene on each level of Color Management must be controlled
in a precise and effective way, in order to obtain the
final result (restitution on paper medium, CDRom, etc.).
The system of data processing must apply corrective factors
between each stage on the process of the graphic chain,
and to allow a qualitative colorimetric correspondence
enters the various systems of seizure, and restitution
on paper or screen. However, as we observed, this obviousness
is not easily applicable in practice. The international
ICC standard being currently brings the most satisfaction,
it seems now impossible to circumvent to use the tools
based on this standard. The perpetual research of a colorimetric
constancy on the graphic chain was carried out a long
time in a closed way (specific solutions to each manufacturer),
but the integration of ICC tools has permit a transparency
of Color Management and a correspondence between the various
actors of the market which does not cease improving.
From
an economic point of view, the adoption of Color Management
has positive incidences on a production. The expenses
related to the trowel are reduced (trowel paper, film,
ink, etc.), the saving of time is decreased in the medium
term (after the phase of test and validation of the processes),
or an increased productivity associated a better quality
of the result. |
